Established in 1998 in Istanbul Turkey, the company operates in the field of supply, assembly, construction, maintenance and engineering of service stations, as well as technical safety and environmental consultancy. The founders of the company have been providing services in the oil and gas industry for over 23 years, of which the last 17 years being in the liquid fuel handling technologies.

As of 2002, Tora Petrol has become a preffered member of European Contractors list of numerous international companies. Tora implements and maintains an Integrated Management System certified by the Bureau Veritas for ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

The company employs a total of 104 staff, 23 of which are based in the head office. Among the staff members of the company are financial consultants, a legal consultant, an auditor and an environmental specialist who are actively on duty. The distribution of our team which consists of 26 engineers, as specified below, and is responsible for project management, R&D and engineering is as follows:

The support staff is comprised of a computer programmer, a graphic designer and a software specialist.

Tora Petrol service fleet includes:

EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM: 2 mobile teams available 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week for emergency intervention

MOBILE FIELD TEAM: consists of 5 specialists. The fleet of 25 vehicles are fully equipped with state-of-the-art technical infrastructure, tools and equipment, and supplies to provide the necessary services.  The teams can perform every kind of works such as periodic tank cleaning, gas freeing, tank calibration, precision tank and facility testing, ex-proof self-protected drilling on fuel tanks –without stopping the operations of the station-, every kind of infrastructure installation and civil works required for replacement of installation due to leakage and similar failures, general maintenance and repair works at the stations, infrastructure and assembly works of automation systems, ex-proof electricity installation, assembly of gas detectors, ensuring safety in flammable environments and decontamination of hydrocarbon.

Besides construction, mechanical, electrical, electronic and automation works needed by gas stations, Tora provides the services of supplying and installing equipments, preparing projects as well as consultancy services to oil companies and industrial plants having fuel storage facilities in their field.

Tora is the exclusive representative in Turkey and near geographical regions, of the companies producing worldwide known brands in their field of activities.

The Company also performs installation and calibration of gas detector systems.  We provide services to totally 398 gas stations per year.  All maintenance and calibration works of this network are carried out by Tora. This service is the most comprehensive and the largest one in Europe.

The Company provides periodic maintenance and inspection services to over 2300 gas stations, these services include tank cleaning, filter changing, electrical installation, measuring and inspection of electrical grounding, inspection of the site and infrastructure.

Tora has been successfully performing remote hazardous space monitoring in 18 sites first time ever in the world for over one year.   

Tora has a "Certificate of Competence for Maintenance and Repair of Fuel Pumps and Equipments Used in Gas Stations" issued by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSI).

Lightweight and high impact resistant manhole covers manufactured by the Company in various sizes and forms have the Quality Conformance Certificate issued by the TSI.
